| I'm home for Thanksgiving! I'm enjoying just chilling and staying up late.. it's about 2 now. Man, I thought breaks were for being lazy and doing nothing? Mine certainly hasn't been that way. Friday I helped dig a ditch and now I've got blisters on my hands and my back is sore. But it was fun! Today I went to church and barely had time to say hi to some of my UT friends before going to someone's house for lunch. Then this afternoon went to a choir concert... Hey everybody recognized me this year! last Xmas even my own family didn't. My schedule is packed until Tues when I fly back. Throwing out junk becomes a high priority when you don't live at home anymore.
Man! Don't you just dislike making life changing decisions on career, location, and stuff? I've mostly narrowed down what I'll be doing next year - working in real estate, or something.. probably. But I can't decide where I want to live! WA, UT, TN, FL.. or another state where friends are?
Hrm.. this background is starting to bug me. Do you agree?
| Haven't fallen off the face of the earth yet.
Been getting into the swing of things here. I love it. (Last post -> nobody's ever completely at ease a new place till they've been there a bit.) Sorry, been so.. busy. I rarely have time to myself on weekdays. It's fine though, that's changing It's definately a good feeling to be accomplishing things though!
This weekend I'd like to post some of how God has been working in my life. Have you ever stopped to think of what an incredible amount of patience God has for us? Seriously, we're so stubborn and selfish. What makes us think we can rationalize our desires and blindly pretend that's right? Are we somehow so smart we don't need God's wisdom in every-day-life?!
Randomizer: I get to see Bessie-boo this weekend! *runs up the hill in happiness*
| The A's and B's of being yourself:
1. People are different. 2. Because people differ, not everyone is going to like you. 3. If some people don't like you, it doesn't mean there's anything wrong with you. 4. What we want to find in life are people who like us for what we really are. 5. The best way to find people who like us for what we really are is to be what we really are.
Hum... how does this fit in with what happens when someone asks you to change a behaviour or particular action?
I have so many "friends", people I know, and who I enjoy hanging out with. But basically no close heart-to-heart friends I'm comfortable sharing my emotions or anything random with. I may be extroverted and spontaneous at heart, but my worst fear is being nice to the people I love and totally unbeknownst to me, they take some word or action that I dislike them, don't respect them, and that I insulted them. I've had that happen multiple times recently to varrying degrees.. each time I've tried harder and harder not to do it again and it's just happened again and again to those who are most important to me it seems. *tear* What am I supposed to do? Never have an opinion, never have any desires, never speak unless asked, always just do what everybody wants me to, follow everyone's imagined whim, and pretend I don't have any emotions? I think the above description would turn someone with my personality into the most miserable person on earth. Thankfully I don't have to do that. Just wish I could find a happy medium. I really should keep in touch with some of you guys. It just never happens. hum...
And yes, I probably would never tell any of you this in a personal conversation. The blog doesn't care, it just serves as a random spot to vent. And if any of you are nice enough to reply I'll see that someone's interested in my life and understands what I'm talking about. lol.. I just don't have time to keep in touch with eeryone online anymore. It's a pity.
| Well I got a the new theme I wanted.. finally! Now I just have to figure out how to make it less busy, and easier on the eyes. I made a header and footer, but they won't go at the top of the page. I can't figure out how to limit the number of entries that show on the front page. Oh well. If you scroll down to the very bottom you'll see my doodle work.
Life's been busy... I'm gonna try to update soon.... har har... Maybe call some of you later today if I can.
Random: We had a bear raid our trash last week.. it was interesting. I was shucking corn with a few others and heard racket outside the kitchen. When we opened the door, it was right there on the porch less three feet away! It looked someone right in the face, and all we all burst out laughing. They shut the door and when we came back to scare it off, it had vanished. It's funny to me since I grew up in the city, but if they spread garbage over my yard I'd be annoyed too.
| If you were part of a midevil kingdom, what occupational personality would you be? Take the test and tell me! http://www.cmi-lmi.com/kingdomality.html
After you're done, here's a list of all the different types. http://www.sonoma.edu/users/n/nolan/n505/kingdomality.htm
I'm a "Benevolent Ruler".
You are the idealistic social dreamer. Your overriding goal is to solve the people problems of your world. You are a social reformer who wants everyone to be happy in a world that you can visualize. You are exceptionally perceptive about the woes and needs of humankind. You often have the understanding and skill to readily conceive and implement the solutions to your perceptions. On the positive side, you are creatively persuasive, charismatic and ideologically concerned. On the negative side, you may be unrealistically sentimental, scattered and impulsive, as well as deviously manipulative. Interestingly, your preference is just as applicable in today's corporate kingdoms.
